Car Burglar Arrested in Best Buy Parking Lot - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

A suspected car burglar with numerous criminal convictions under his belt is back behind bars.

Gumecindo Hernandez, 30, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of Best Buy. Police said Hernandez had a screwdriver and a metal crowbar on him.

A total of three vehicles had been damaged. Two had damage to the steering column, and one vehicle had actually been moved.

Hernandez has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and burglary to a vehicle. County records show he has previous drug, assault and auto-theft convictions.
