CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Last month, our local food bank was in dire need of canned goods. On Thursday, one generous company answered the call.
"It's very exciting," said Bea Hanson, director of the Food Bank of Corpus Christi. "It was a great surprise, and the money will go 16 times over."
The money came courtesy of the Celanese facility in Bishop. The idea came from interns from that company.
They donated about 1,500 cans of food and over $3,400, a very sizeable donation to the Food Bank.
