The new school year is just around the corner for Coastal Bend students, and elementary students in Robstown will be learning at a brand new school.
"This is something I think the community is really, really going to enjoy," said Osvaldo Romero, Robstown Independent School District school board president. "This school is designed to serve."
Irma V. Romero Elementary School will be dedicated this Saturday. It is named after a long-time educator in the Robstown community.
The $12.4.-million campus will house students from two older campuses, Hattie Martin Elementary and Salazar Elementary. The school features a special interactive room that is equipped with all the latest educational technology.
The new elementary school will house over 750 students.
