City Program Sets Its Sights on Lindale Neighborhood

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Operation Proud Partnership continues to be a success. More than 70 violations were found in Flour Bluff Thursday, the third area that the clean-up project has targeted.

The next phase of the operation will focus on the Lindale neighborhood near Ray High School.

On Friday, some of the issues residents spoke about included graffiti, abandoned homes not being cared for, trash and brush accumulating in front of homes.

"This shows the City is listening and trying to make a difference, and instead of waiting for the complaints to come, we're trying to get out there and make a difference," City Councilman John Marez said.

Operation Proud Partnership is a city program with the goal of sprucing up under-served communities to make them safer and cleaner.
