CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A high speed chase ends with a crash and one person taken to the hospital. The pursuit happened just after four this morning when officers tried to pull over the driver of a gray 4-four door car on McKinzie near Alameda. That's when the driver put the pedal to the metal and took off. Officers say speeds reached over 70 miles per hour. After a short chase, the driver of the gray car lost control and crashed. The driver of that car took off running and left his passenger in the car. The passenger will not be charged. That person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver is facing charges of failing to stop at a stop sign and evading arrest.
