CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Two people were arrested this weekend for throwing rocks at cars. One of the cars just happened to be a police car.
Israel Olbera, 17, and a 14-year old boy were picked up around 4 a.m. Sunday. Police said they threw a number of rocks at a passing police car.
The damage to the windshield is estimated at $350.
Police said they later found a pile of rocks at the Country Club Golf Course on Everhart. The officers followed some footprints from those rocks, and saw the two boys running to an apartment complex at Everhart and Saratoga. The suspects jumped a fence, and were eventually caught.
The 14-year old boy was given a ticket for breaking the city curfew, and was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center for criminal mischief and evading arrest. Olbera was taken to jail on the same charges.
