Port Arthur police detectives say they are trying to find out who left behind a very large amount of synthetic marijuana.

Officers responded to the 3500 block of 9th Street around 6:30  p.m. Monday in reference to a burglar alarm.  When officers got to the house they found the back door of a house had been forced open.

Police say there was no one home at the house.

Officers secured the house and obtained a search warrant.

Once inside, officers say they found around $6,000 cash and enough K-2 synthetic marijuana to carry a street value between $15,000 to $20,000..
