Man hospitalized after stabbing

Port Arthur police are investigating a stabbing that was reported just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

An 18-year-old man says he was walking on 5th Avenue between 36th Street and 39th Street. when he was accosted and attacked by 5 men. One of the attackers stabbed the man.

The victim was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth for treatment of a serious laceration to his inner right forearm.

The five men, all between the ages of 18 and 20, fled on foot.

Investigators ask any potential witnesses to call the Port Arthur Police Department.
