SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - A robber demands cigarettes at gunpoint from a Smith Co. convenience store.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday morning.  Smith County Sheriff's Lieutenant Tony Dana says a black man came into the Food Fast on Highway 64 East and Old Henderson Highway and pointed a gun at the clerk.

Investigators say the robber is described as a black man 5'7" tall and about 115 pounds.  He was wearing gray basketball shorts, black muscle shirt, a stocking mask and a brown glove on his left hand.

Lt. Dana says he took cigarettes and lighters. The Smith County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate this case.
