CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The U.S. Marshal's Office believes a Florida man accused of kidnapping his daughter may be living in the Corpus Christi area.

Aaron Cox, 53, is wanted for the non-custodial parental abduction of his daughter Cara. Cox kidnapped his daughter in August of 2009, when she was eight years old and living with her mother.

The U.S. Marshal's Office released photos of Cox, as well as an age-progression photo of Cara, showing what she would look like now, at age 11. She is described as a white female, with hazel eyes and brown hair. She has an oversized bite and a strawberry-shaped birthmark on the base of her neck.

Aaron Cox is described as a white man, five-foot eight-inches tall, 145 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He also has a birthmark on the base of his neck, and walks with a limp caused by a metal plate in his left leg.

Police said Cox may be using a false name.

If you recognize Aaron or Cara Cox, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 361-888-8477.
