CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
The ladies of the Junior League of Corpus Christi made a generous donation to the local Rainbow Room on Friday.
"We bought about 1,500 diapers, baby bottles, wipes, school uniforms, everything we could," said Sue Cross, president of the Community Partners Board. "Everything they asked for."
The goods were purchased from the HEB Plus on Saratoga, and will be used to restock the Rainbow Room, which is an emergency resource center available to Child Protective Service case workers to help them meet the critical need of abused and neglected children.
"The Rainbow Room is a room where case workers can go, day or night, for needy children, when children are removed from their home," said Jill Jacobs, the community vice president of the JLCC.
