CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A man is recovering in the hospital after a nasty accident on the Nueces Bay Causeway. The crash happened around midnight when the driver slammed his truck into the back of an 18-wheeler causing the damage. Officers say that the driver of the truck was speeding when it rammed into the big rig. Officer Jorge Fernandez told 3 News, "The semi-truck pulled over to the side of the roadway. The truck was attached on there and the driver of the pick up truck was transported to Memorial for further evaluation." The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries. The four men in the 18-wheeler were not injured.
