Traffic Tied Up Due to Accident on Saratoga Intersection - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Police said a driver who blazed through an intersection nearly causing a head-on collision.

"The blue jeep was attempting to make a turn here at Saratoga and Cimarron, and didn't yield the right of way," said Officer Eric Hemping of the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Traffic was tied up because of the accident for nearly an hour, as crews cleared the scene. Although police said weather could have been a factor, the driver of the blue jeep will still get a ticket.

Both drivers had minor injuries and are expected to be okay.
