One Sent to Hospital After Chaparral Street Assault

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Two men were assaulted in downtown Corpus Christi on Chaparral Street, while walking from one bar to another Sunday night, and one was sent to the hospital.

Kiii News viewer Ty Chester sent a picture of the scene, which was located at 621 Chaparral Street.

Police said it happened around 2 a.m. A 46-year old victim was attacked, and one of his friends was also punched in the face when he tried to help.

The suspect was described as a black man known as "Ace." He got away in a blue car. He is five-feet eight-inches tall and weighs about 170-pounds.
