Hooked Pelican Taken to Animal Rehabilitation Keep

PORT ARANSAS (Kiii News) -

A fisherman noticed a brown pelican had a fishing hook stuck under its wing around noon at Roberts Point Park in Port Aransas.

The fisherman caught the pelican using a cast net, and took it to the Animal Rehabilitation Keep, or ARK, which rehabilitates birds, mammals and marine life.

The ARK is a facility run by the University of Texas Marine Science Institute.
