CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Police responded to the Wells Fargo Motor Bank on 522 N. Tancahua just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. They found a victim and his two kidnappers in the drive-thru.
Police said the victim had been beaten with a piece of wood and robbed, and then he was forced to withdraw money from his bank account.
Vernon Hemphill, 22, and Curtis Terrell, 64, were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. County records show Hemphill has previous assault and drug convictions, and Terrell has been in and out of jail since the late 80s.
The victim was treated on the scene for injuries to his eye and chin.
