Labor Day Babies

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Although this holiday weekend was all about honoring the American worker, there are some who actually went into "labor" this Labor Day weekend.

Justin Ray Sanchez entered the world on Sunday at Christus Spohn South, weighing five-pounds four-ounces. Justin actually came into the world three weeks early, and as you can imagine, his parents, Justin and Cynthia, were ecstatic to meet him.

"I was all nervous when the whole process was going on," said Justin Sanchez, the new father. "I was shaking the whole time. I'm pretty happy. I was excited."

"It's probably one of the best times in my whole life," said Cynthia Goad, baby Justin's mother. "When I saw him, I just melted. It was great. I cried."

Half a dozen babies were born at Christus Spohn South this holiday weekend.
