BEE COUNTY (Kiii News) -

The suspect in a Bee County shooting on Sunday has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Ohio, and is now awaiting extradition back to Texas.

The shooting, which happened at around 1:31 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, in the Blueberry Hills subdivision in Bee County, was allegedly the result of an argument between the suspect, Roy Trejo, and the victim, 29-year old Jason Ross Coffeen. Coffeen was taken to a Corpus Christi hospital by HALO Flight, where he underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds. Trejo had already fled the scene.

Investigators were able to find that Trejo had fled the state, and early Wednesday morning, U.S. Marshals located Trejo in Ohio and placed him in custody.
