REFUGIO (Kiii News) -
Department of Public Safety officials said a case of road rage led to a fatal accident on Highway 77, two miles north of Refugio, on Tuesday.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Troopers said a Ford F-150 pickup weaving in and out of traffic caused another truck to slam on its brakes. A third vehicle slammed into the back of that truck.
The driver of that third vehicle, 51-year old Leon Dale Buff from Corpus Christi, died at the scene.
The person who troopers said caused the accident, Donald Starr, was charged with failing to stop and render aid. They said he could also face additional charges.
