CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
The fire department responded to a call at the Ultimate Cheese Cake Bakery on South Alameda Wednesday, but it wasn't a fire in the kitchen. Turns out, the fire started outside the store.
Fire crews responded to the 4200 block of South Alameda to a fire that appeared to be caused by pigeons trying to make a nest on the store's sign.
"Looks like a bunch of pigeon nests and debris that pigeons put in there," CCFD Captain John Gravell said. "Somehow it caught on fire."
Business wasn't affected. It went on as usual.
