ARANSAS COUNTY (Kiii News) -
An Aransas County judge who gained national attention after a video surfaced, allegedly showing him repeatedly whooping his daughter, is back in the news on Thursday.
After review by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct, a decision was made to give Judge William Adams a warning.
Adams was suspended with pay back in November of 2011, and now has 30 days to file an appeal and request an end to his suspension.
"My understanding is he will file an appeal with the Supreme Court to have his suspension lifted," Aransas County Attorney Richard Bianchi said. "Assuming it is granted, then he would return to the bench."
Kiii News Reporter Bill Churchwell was Live from the Aransas County Courthouse with more on the situation.
