City Contractors Hospitalized After Bee Attack - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Two city contractors were hospitalized after being stung by bees Friday morning while mowing the grass on the median of Shoreline and Schatzel.

They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Vector Control said the bees are European honey bees, which are common to this area and could pose a problem to people who are allergic to them.

There were about 500 bees in the hive, which makes the hive a relatively small one.
