Victim identified in fatal PA shooting

Jonathan Johnson, 40, was shot to death in Port Arthur 9/8/2012

Port Arthur police detectives are investigating a fatal Saturday-night shooting.

Dispatchers received a call around 8:30 p.m. about shots fired in the 2600 block of 10th Avenue in Port Arthur.

When officers arrived they found Jonathan Johnson, 40, had been shot several times. Officers say Johnson was taken to Christus Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur. Doctors pronounced him dead.

As of 10 p.m. Saturday no arrests have been made.

Police have not yet released many details about the shooting.
