CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Investigators are trying to figure out which auto shop decked out a sport utility vehicle with fake decals, making it appear to be a Department of Public Safety trooper vehicle.
The SUV was spotted by an off-duty Corpus Christi Police Department officer Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Century 16. They waited for the driver to walk out of the theater, and when she did, she told officers that the car belongs to her husband, who was out of town for work.
Now, detectives not only want to question him, they also want to find out where he had the work done. The man could face charges, depending on the outcome of the investigation.
