Police said they did not have to search very far after two women ran off with a six-pack of beer from a Stripes convenience store on Sunday night.
It was just around 6 p.m. Sunday when they said 26-year old Celeste Joy Mason and another women pushed their way our of the Stripes at 1000 Nueces Bay Boulevard.
After a quick search, police found Mason just over a mile away, drinking the stolen beer out in public. After she was identified by the store clerk, she was arrested, but it didn't end there.
Mason slipped out of her handcuffs and started kicking the doors and screaming. Police had to pepper spray her.
Mason sits behind bars Monday night, facing charges of robbery and resisting arrest. Police are still looking for the other woman that got away.
