Dang Minh Nguyen was killed in the August 1, 2010 armed robbery of Van's Grocery
The family of slain store clerk Dang Minh Nguyen has at least one more day of court testimony before they learn if a jury will convict the man accused in her death.
According to 12News HD News Partner the Beaumont Enterprise, five witnesses had testified before the end of proceedings Tuesday in the capital murder trial of 18-year-old Labyron Warren.
Police reports say Nguyen, 20, was shot in the head during a robbery while working at Van's Grocery on Avenue A in Beaumont. According to 12News HD file stories, Police said at the time that at least four robbers got away with around $200.
Warren has pleaded not guilty to the capital murder charge. His defense attorney, Tom Burbank, did not give opening statements.
Warren, who was 16 at the time of the crime, was certified earlier this year to stand trial as an adult.
