RICARDO (Kiii News) -
The Kingsville Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force seized $206,000 in cash and two kilos of cocaine valued at around $40,000 during a traffic stop Wednesday.
A truck hauling one vehicle was seen speeding along southbound Highway 77 at County Road 2150, outside of Ricardo, around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
When officers pulled the vehicle over and questioned the 25-year old driver, his story didn't seem to check out. So they asked to search the vehicle.
They found the drugs in a compartment on the side of the truck. They believe the driver was heading to the border.
