CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Corpus Christi police have charged a 46-year old man for allegedly causing an injury to a child.
Irving Eugene Patrick was arrested at his home Thursday by the Gulf Coast Violent Offender and Fugitive Task Force.
It was back in August when officers were called out to a home on the 4400 block of Cedar Pass for a child having a hard time breathing. They found the two-year old girl unconscious and rushed her to Driscoll Children's Hospital.
During the investigation, police discovered the child suffered head trauma, a broken rib and burns to her body. The child is now in foster care.
Patrick's bond was set at $175,000.
