Former Gregory City Secretary Arrested for Theft of Public Funds

GREGORY (Kiii News) -

A former city secretary in Gregory has been arrested on charges of theft.

At last report, 36-year old Patricia Lacy was being held at the San Patricio County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond. A city spokesperson said they noticed more than $140,000 in public funds went missing after a new administration took office in May.

An investigation is said to be ongoing.

    According to the US Coast Guard, a 51-year-old man is dead and two others are safe, a 14-year-old girl and 52-year-old man, after their boat sank Sunday morning in Copano Bay, just north of Rockport, Texas.
