CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A family narrowly escapes a house fire, all thanks to a warning from a young girl.
The blaze happened around nine Saturday morning on 10th Street near Elizabeth. A family was asleep upstairs of a two story complex when the first floor living room caught on fire. The family upstairs was alerted by a young girl to get out.
Roseann prado, an upstairs neighbor, said, "I was shaking. I was scared we saw that thing....we thought we were going to loose everything."
No one was inside the first floor of the complex. The red cross was on the scene to help out the family. Fire investigators are still trying to figure out the cause.
