16-year-old carjacked in Pinehurst

Investigators have released surveillance video that they believe shows a man who carjacked a 16-year-old girl at gunpoint on Friday.

Pinehurst police say they got a call about an aggravated robbery that happened at a trailer park in the 3800 block of Pheasant Drive. A 16-year-old girl gave a man and woman a ride from a convenience store in the 800 block of Strickland Drive in Orange. They asked to be brought to the trailer park on Pheasant Drive.

The victim said once they got to the trailer park the man pulled out a gun and ordered her to get out of the vehicle. He and the woman who was with him drove away in the victim's vehicle.

Police say the robbers also took the victim's purse and cell phone.

The man has a tattoo "sleeve" on his left arm.

The vehicle was found a short time later in east Orange.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.
