Dismembered Kittens Found in Backyard of Vacant Home

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Three dead kittens, two of which had been dismembered, were found in the backyard of a vacant home near Holly and Greenwood on Saturday.

The man who found them said it didn't look like they were mauled by a dog or another animal. He believes someone intentionally did it.

"Cause it looks like it was clean cut, and the hind legs were nowhere to be found," he said.

The man that found the kittens, and wanted to remain anonymous, called police Saturday evening. Officers responded, took some pictures and called Animal Control.

On Sunday, the kittens were still at the vacant home. Animal Control said they plan on going out there on Monday to start the investigation and remove the cats.

People who live in the area want answers.

"It is alarming to us, to wonder who is out here doing such things," the man said. "Especially since the next door house is abandoned."

The man told us he has no idea who the kittens belonged to. Kiii News will let you know how the investigation turns out.
