City Council Expected to Approve Street User Fee

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

City Council is expected to sign off on a resolution approving a plan of action to pay for street repairs.

City staff has been working with Council to come up with a way to pay for the nearly $1 billion in needed street improvements. The idea that Council is set to approve would result in a street user fee of somewhere between $5-10 a month.

The charge would show up on your utility bill.

The plan is still going to take time to finalize, but is expected to go into effect on Aug. 1 of next year.
