CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A dog owner who reached out to the community for help because her dog needed a lifesaving surgery was able to raise enough money to save her beloved pet.
"We're beyond grateful. Got him in as soon as possible, and if we didn't, he wouldn't be here with our family," said Katherine Stewart, owner of Noah, a Siberian Husky. "It's just incredible that there are good people out there who are willing to help strangers."
Stewart raised the money to get Noah emergency surgery after he had swallowed a towel, and a piece of that towel had wrapped itself around one of his intestines. She offered her grooming services for a discounted fee and donations in order to raise the money, and the community came through for her.
The vet had to remove part of Noah's intestine, and remove part of the towel he ate.
