CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A West Indian Manatee was sighted Thursday on Shoreline Drive, in the McGee Beach area.
Several people reported seeing the manatee to the Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network, or TMMSN. They say that there have been less than 10 manatees sighted on the Texas coast since 1980, but they have been become more common over the last five years.
Of course, manatees are endangered, and the TMMSN would like anyone to report manatee sightings right away by calling 361-947-4313. Send photos whenever possible.
