For the fourth year in a row, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is listed as one of the top military-friendly schools in the country.
The annual report released by G.I. Jobs magazine has ranked the college in the top 15th percentile of all universities across the nation. The magazine collected data from 12,000 schools to come up with the rankings.
The Veterans Affairs Department, which is made up entirely of veterans, said they are honored to receive the recognition.
"It's what we are suppose to be doing, and we understand the vet is not the typical freshman coming out of high school," said Michael Rendon, registrar and director of Veterans Affairs. "And with that understanding we are trying to develop programs, systems, processes, financial aid and understanding who the vet is and how we can service them better."
TAMUCC is servicing more than 700 veterans and their dependents during this fall semester.
