Three plead guilty in gang rape case

Three defendants in the Liberty County gang rape case pleaded guilty to avoid jury trials.

They are expected to be sentenced Friday.

23-year-old Kelvin King, 20-year-old. Jared McPherson and 20-year-old Timothy Ellis are a part of a group of 20 males including 14 adults and 6 juveniles, who were charged in the 2010 sexual assault of an 11-year old girl.

The decision to plead guilty came on the heels of a 99-year sentence handed down to Eric McGowen.
