It was a big day for Apple fans as the new iPhone 5 went on sale, and AT&T Stores across the Coastal Bend were packed with customers.
Some people, believe it or not, camped out overnight. AT&T reps said the iPhone 5 is thinner and lighter, with a four-inch screen and a faster processor. Folks at the store said they were excited to get their hands on the new phone.
"iPhone 5 is awesome, and it's just so much better than a 4S," said Tony Dehoyos. "If you don't get out here early, you might not get it."
"I don't think I am going to be a crazy person and come get the next one and the next one," said Melanie Garza. "I think I will keep this one for a few years."
The new phones start at $200 with a two-year contract.
