Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- Friday Night Sports Blitz- Part I:

The Calallen Wildcats shook up their lineup on Friday night just in time for their final pre-district tune-up with winless Carroll.  Andrew McCurley and Connor Lowrance split time at quarterback while spending time on both offense and defense as the Wildcats played nearly everyone on their roster in a convincing 41-0 shutout of Carroll at the Cabaniss Complex. The Carroll Tigers dropped to 0-4 in 2012.

The CCISD's other Class 5A team, King, hosted Victoria East at Buc Stadium. The Mustangs mixed in an active defense with the continued big-play performance of quarterback Bronze Jackson to roll to a 35-13 win over East. The Mustangs upped their record to 3-1 heading into next week's final pre-district game at Smithson Valley.
