A Beaumont Police Department spokesperson has identified a woman who died in an accident on Sunday.
Cynthia Earhart, 53, of Fannett was pronounced dead at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Police say she was involved in an accident around 8 p.m. on Fannett Road near Brooks.
Investigators say it appears she was traveling at a high rate of speed when she drove onto the shoulder as she tried to pass a car. Her Ford F 250 flipped over.
