Victim Identified in Fatal I-37 Accident

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The victim of a fatal accident on I-37 over the weekend has been identified as 28-year old Michael Allen Montemayor.

Montemayor's sport utility vehicle hit an 18-wheeler on I-37 near McKenzie Road early Saturday morning. Investigators said he died on impact.

Police said Montemayor was speeding and may have been going over 100 miles per hour at the time of the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler was driving the speed limit and he was not injured from the crash.
