No findings revealed in PAHA investigation - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

The Port Arthur Housing Authority says no further action is needed in the case of a fired employee, at least for now.  

   

The Board of Commissioners did not allow Joseph Guillory or his attorney to speak at Mondays meeting. Guillory says he was fired from the PAHA after reporting the misuse of funds to the Office of Inspector General.

An audit released in January of 2011 states the Housing Authority did not use sound financial controls on a $725,000 grant. 

Another audit from June of this year shows that more than $600,000 has been paid back.

The same audit recommends the housing authority should now pay back more than $5 million. Commissioners Clonie Ambroise and Bart Bragg were appointed to investigate Guillory's accusations and the illegal activities within the PAHA.

 

To date, Guillory and his attorney say they have received no findings. 

Commissioners also reviewed Executive Director Cele Quesada's contract Monday but voted to not take any action until all HUD and OIG findings are final.
