Returning Marine Plans Big Surprise for Family

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

U.S. Marine Sergeant Kevin Rodriguez worked with the folks at our local Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant to help plan a surprise reunion with his family on Tuesday.

"I never tried this before, just because my nieces and nephews, my brothers and my sisters, they were too young," Rodriguez said. "So now that they are older, I'm pretty sure they'll be able to appreciate it. They know where I'm at. My little brother, anytime they ask him where his big brother is, says 'He is doing war.' That's what they say."

Unfortunately, Chuck E. Cheese's did not allow news cameras into their restaurant, but the reunion did go off without a hitch. Rodriguez delivered a pizza to his family, surprising all of them.

The sergeant is coming back from his third tour of duty. He is now home for the next couple of weeks.
