Palmer Drug Abuse Program Asks Community for Help

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program, or PDAP, is asking the community to help keep teens drug and alcohol free.

The organization is finishing its annual fund drive, and they are looking for support from donors. The nonprofit offers full-time counseling, group meetings and activities to teens and young adults struggling from addiction.

"What we do is we have a day center with counselors, and we have activities on the weekends and evenings to keep the kids busy, and help them learn how to have a normal life without drugs and alcohol," PDAP Executive Director Wade Fjeld said.

Representatives from the organization said drug use among youths is on the rise in our area, and they need funding now more than ever.
