Sculptures Unveiled at South Texas Botanical Gardens
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
There is something eye catching to behold at the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center, all courtesy of a world class artist.
"Well you know, we have the Botanical Gardens here. Very Beautiful," artist Kent Ullberg said. "And we have a nature trail, and we think by having sculptures here, we can extend our audience to art lovers, and as well to use to educate about nature."
Ullberg unveiled two new bronze sculptures he created especially for the Bird and Butterfly Trail at the Gardens. They feature a life-sized version of a white tailed deer and a large version of the bird known as the Kingfisher.
Both of the sculptures were funded by the Henry M. Hank Brennecke Estate, in memory of Mary Hope Brennecke.
