New Electric Car Charging Station at Texas State Aquarium
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
The Texas State Aquarium is taking charge and going green, offering a new electric car charging station for visitors.
It is the first charging station at any cultural attraction in South Texas.
"We think this is going to be a great addition to our program," said Tom Schmid, president and CEO of the Texas State Aquarium, "and it really gives us the chance to talk about the benefits of 100-percent electrical vehicles and how they can be a part of the automotive world here in South Texas."
Ed Hicks Nissan donated an electric car to the Aquarium to compliment the new station. Aquarium officials said they are excited to set a green example.
