A group of Southeast Texas farmland owners has lost its battle with Alberta-based TransCanada Corp over use of their property for an international pipeline.
TransCanada is using eminent domain to gain land for a 36-inch pipeline, something David Holland and the Texas Rice Land Partners fought in court.
Jefferson County court at Law #1 Judge Tom Rugg on Friday ruled TransCanada can take privately-owned land in Southeast Texas to build the pipeline.
