A Silsbee man is dead following an accident Saturday morning.

A Department of Public Safety spokesperson tells 12News HD the accident happened shortly before 1 a.m. in the 500 block of Dubury Road about a half-mile west of Highway 92. This is north of Silsbee.

Troopers say William F. Hollyfield, 45, of Silsbee, was driving a 1999 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Dubury Road when he reached a curve. The truck left roadway, hit a group of trees and overturned.

The posted speed limit is 30 miles per hour. Troopers have not yet said if speed or other factors resulted in the accident.

Hollyfield was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:51 a.m. by Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Judge Kent Walker. Hollyfield's next of kin has been notified.

Investigators say Hollyfield was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident remains under investigation.
