Arson may be cause of 2 structure fires

Beaumont Firefighters are investigating two arson fires that happened the same night.

The first fire was Friday just before 10 p.m. at 2580 Linson. Firefighters found a vacant house on fire.

Firefighters were on Linson over three hours working the scene. Fire Investigators determined the fire to be deliberate. There were no injuries.

The second fire occurred just after 5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Cartwright. The Cartwright fire was also in a vacant house and fire investigators determined this fire to be deliberate as well. There were no injuries.

Firefighters had to return to both scenes later Saturday morning for hot spots. Both fires are under investigation as arson.
