A motorcyclist is recovering in the hospital this evening after police say he slammed into the back of a SUV.
The crash happened on S.P.I.D. near Weber road around 3:30 this afternoon.
Police say the driver of a yellow hummer slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting a couple of dogs that were crossing the busy freeway.
Police say the motorcyclist was following too close to the hummer and did not have time to stop...the bike plowed into the back of the hummer, and the biker was thrown several feet down the highway.
The driver of the motorcycle was transferred to Spohn Memorial Medical Hospital and is listed in serious condition.
